Northern Garrison Uniforms

The Northern Garrison are the troopers stationed at Fort Kalt who defend the northern border from the Empire of Draca. Skydiveria currently preforms small trades with Draca, but shaky relations cause the north to remain vigilant. A majority of men stationed at the fort are veterans who suffer from battle fatigue, and who feel that the best bet for never seeing combat again is serving in the north as the fort has never been attacked while under Skydiverian control. Kalt has only ever been attacked once under the control of The Kingdom of Austrition. The campaign, which lasted 192 days, was led by General Trausch. Trausch's men had dug their trenches just out of reach of the fort's cannons, but that meant that Trauch's cannons were out of range as well. One night under the cover of darkness Trausch ordered a small group of men to advance towards the wall on horseback armed with powder kegs. Their orders were to plant the kegs along the outer wall of Kalt, and to detonate them while Trausch rallied the troops to prepare a charge once the kegs went off. The explosives put a sizable hole in the wall, big enough to easily fit his troops through. However the General had misjudged the distance between his trenches and the fort's wall along with his men's effectiveness to cover the distance on foot. In these crucial minutes that the General had not foreseen the troopers guarding the fort had enough time to form a line and set up a single machine gun. With the only entrance being the hole in the wall Trausch's men were bottle necked. With no idea what lay beyond  the hole Trausch ordered his men through, it was a complete massacre. About 150 of Trausch's men were killed when first passing through the wall. Facing the sheer horror of watching their comrades get slaughtered in front of them the next wave of men began to turn back, but there was no escape, the wave behind them trapped them in. Another 380 men would perish before Trausch would realize what was happening. The General would order a full retreat, but it was already to late. The situation was pure chaos, and there was a complete breakdown in command. In total 1,595 out of 8,132 of Trauch's men lost their lives that night. That was the closest Trausch ever got to passing through the walls of Fort Kalt, and by the end of the campaign Trausch will have lost nearly half his troops, mostly due to exposure of the elements. The Commander of Fort Kalt at the time of the siege was a young 23 year old David Rosenberg, who still commands the fort to this day even when Austrition finds itself under Skydiverian control.
